    Food-grade greases are greases that come into contact with food during production and do not pose any physical hazard to consumers and have no affect to the smell or taste of food.
    During the production of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tobacco and animal feed(including the packaging process that comes into direct contact with the product), avoidance from machine elements( such as gears, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, slides and chains etc.) pollution of the lubricant is a basic requirement.However, when the contact between the product and the lubricant cannot be completely avoided, a lubricant that is allowed to come into contact with food should be used.
    The so-called food-grade grease is divided according to its purpose and meets the requirements of food hygiene.can be used for the lubrication of processing machinery in food and pharmaceutical industry.
    According to food hygiene requirements, it is divided into:
    USDA H-1: Greases permitted for equipment parts that may come into contact with food.
    USDA H-2: Usually containing non-toxic ingredients, it can be used for equipment lubrication in food processing plants, and the lubricating oil or lubricated machine parts will not come into contact with food.
    USDA H-3: Refers to water-soluble oils, machine parts must be washed and freed of emulsions before they can be used again.
