Perfluoropolyether grease (PFPE grease) is a white grease made from highly chemically stable perfluoropolyether oil (PFPE) — a synthetic polymer liquid at room temperature — with PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene olid thickener.
PFPE (Perfluoropolyether) is a special perfluoropolymer compound with average molecular weight between 500~15,000, containing only C, F, and O elements in its molecular structure. It features heat resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-flammability. PFPE is widely used in chemical, electronics, electrical, mechanical, nuclear, and aerospace industries.
PFPE grease is specifically designed for bearings, gears, and components requiring lifetime lubrication in harsh environments involving high temperature, low speed, high load, and chemical corrosion. It solves a series of lubrication problems including grease loss, dripping, coking, carbon buildup, and product wear at high temperatures, ensuring lubricated components work normally over the long term under high-temperature conditions.
Due to its excellent thermal stability, chemical inertness, low saturated vapor pressure, good lubricity, and viscosity-temperature characteristics, PFPE grease is widely used in space mechanical lubrication, especially for high-precision components.
